Turkey Meatloaf

Photo 3 1

Hey guys. I decided to try my hand at making meatloaf with ground turkey this past weekend, and it was an epic success! Here’s what I used:

  • 2 tablespoons light butter
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/4 lbs ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup catsup
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

And, this is what I did:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Melt butter in a skillet (over med/high heat). Then, mix in garlic & onions and sauté for about 5mins. Afterwards, I put the mixture in a large bowl and let it chill for about 5 more minutes.

3. Next, I used my hands to combined the rest of the ingredients in the large bowl with the onion-garlic-butter mixture. Note: I only used 1/4 cup of the catsup.

4. I molded the meat into a greased bread pan, and spread the remainder of the catsup (1/2 cup) on top. Then, I placed it in the oven and let it cook for 52 mins.

5. Remove from oven, and let chill for 5 – 10mins…Enjoy!
