Unconditional

Source.

When you’re use to love that is there when things are good and withheld when things are bad, it’s hard to imagine a love that’s unhindered by “things.” We, as humans, are so accustomed to conditional love that it’s hard for us to understand God’s love. How is it possible for someone to keep loving you after you’ve disappointed them time after time after time? It boggles the mind. And, because we don’t understand His love, we respond to Him as though the love He has for us is conditional. We avoid Him when we mess up. And, we feel like we need to “earn” His love, so we try to get ourselves right before coming to Him.

Truth be told, we’ll never fully be able to wrap our minds around His love; that is why we need to believe it with our hearts. When the Word tells us that He’ll never leave us nor forsake us, we need to plant that Word in our heart and believe it. Then, when you miss the mark, you won’t fret that God will forsake you like past friends have. God’s love is not comparable to the love man gives, and the only way to truly accept that is to spend time with Him & sow His Word in your heart. **G.I.G.**

I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39 NLT)…His love endures through every circumstance; it never fails.
