Food Journal

Happy Friday!! I hope you guys have fun plans for the weekend. If not, enjoy the relaxation of being home (that’s fun for me – I’m somewhat of a homebody. LoL). Okay, so I just wanted to let you in on my first assignment from my trainer, Abei. I received an e-mail from her yesterday instructing me to “write down all foods, fluids along with any medications or vitamins [I] may be taking. Plus the times of day [I] eat.” Reason: Once she’s able to evaluate my eating patterns (over a course of 2 weeks), she’ll be able to “fully correct and teach [me] and help develop a nutritional plan that will work best for [me] individual[ly].” Subsequently, I’m not going to cheat on my journal. I’m going to be completely honest, so she can help me learn how to eat better. So, stay tuned! I’ll let you know how she grades me/my results in two weeks!…I can tell you one thing right now, before I get my official “report card,” I need to step up my water consumption. It’s pretty pitiful!

In the meantime, tomorrow we’re going to do my initial physical evaluation (I guess you can say). She’s going to document my weight, height, blood pressure, measurements, and so forth. I’ll fill you guys in on how that went next week!

P.S. – I’m currently using a calorie counter website to help me fill out my food journal (myfitnesspal.com/username: FruitOfMyBranches). But, Abei strongly suggested that I not get caught up on calorie counting because it can be discouraging (especially in the begining since I don’t know what in the world I’m doing). She said she will teach me the ins and outs of nutritional eat in the upcoming weeks & months, so I can properly assess my intake (because there’s good carbs & bad carbs, plus there’s execise & I plan on doing a lot of that!) **G.I.G.**
