Vision Through Love’s Eyes

There’s a common expression that says “love is blind,” and I agree. When you love someone, you “overlook” many things as though you didn’t see them, because your love for that person is stronger than their flaws. But, when it comes to God, I don’t believe He, who is love, is blind. He sees. I just believe His love is more “far-sighted” by choice. How so? First, let me define far-sighted, because I wear glasses, and, whenever I ask someone else if they’re near-sighted or far-sighted, they don’t know the difference. Far-sightedness (i.e. hyperopia) is defined as “an abnormal condition of the eye in which vision is better for distant objects than for near objects.” In other words, when God sees you, He sees you for who you’re going to be, not who you are right now. His vision is “better for/more focused on distant objects.” That’s why He’s able to tell you to speak those things that be not as though they were (Romans 4:17), because He already sees it. He just wants you to “see” it…It’s crucial that we walk by faith, because it allows us to “see” what God “sees.” **G.I.G.**

P.S. – Also, check out 2 Corinthians 4:18: things that are seen now, in our “near-sight,” are temporary! Get on board with God’s “vision.”
